I have just had a customer call me and tell me he placed an order yesterday, it went through paypal but has not shown up in Sytist. He said he got some kind of 'delayed' screen when placing the order
I have confirmed that the payment went through but I can find no record of the order or the customer in sytist.
Any ideas?

I had the same issue Monday night except I discovered it. I saw the paypal payment but no order. I looked around a bit and found the shopping cart. I didn't do anything and the next morning the order showed up in Sytist (about 5 hrs or so). I have no solution for you but just to let you know that it happened to me too but it did seem to resolve itself.

I believe PayPal was having problems yesterday. I know a few people said their PayPal emails were delayed.
If there was a delay notice that means PayPal was unable to communicate with the sever. It usually keeps trying though.
You can check the IPN history in your PayPal account to see if there are any errors. Log into your PayPal account then go to the following link:

Thanks Scott and Tim;
This particular order was placed two days ago and stilll not in sytist. Using Tim's suggestion I do not find an IPN code for that transaction. I presume that means nothing was sent to tell Sytist that there was a completed sale.
I will look into if further.
Thanks
Bill

Hi, if it was a E check it may not register, to see if is a E check goto paypal and on the transactions you will see "Pending" it may take up to 6 days for the check to clear.

When you go here:
https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-ipns-history
You may have to change the date range to the date the payment was made. There should be an entry for it in the IPN history. If not, perhaps they made a direct payment?

Thanks TIm, but I find no IPN associated with this transaction. PayPal is the only way I have set up for payment.
I have now refunded the transaction and asked the client to order again.
Thanks for your help.
