I Need A New Host

After being with site5 for 8 years, they decided I had too many files causing their server to be bogged down. They sent me a email that I need to get my usage to 150,000. I deleted and deleted messing up my website with lots of questions marks (because I use images in blogging, billboards etc...).
Today they sent me an email at 3:41am and shut down my website. I begged them to let me back on and they gave me 48 hours to delete more files.

Please advise on a new hosting site that will not break the bank and will be able to handle large files. I now have 41 hours... to migrate.

Thank you for your help!

I host with Dreamhost and I am happy with, their support is good and you can easily switch between different hosting plans if you require it.

Otherwise, there were couple of posts in the forum regarding this topic in the past:

Saratoga Hosting is the best for Sytist. Also, with any host to be cost effective on your hosting plan you should use Amazon web services to link to your pictures. I have 90,000 images linked from Sytist to AWS. The AWS saves $$$ per month when having many images to host! I pay AWS like $5 per month.

Dave at Saratoga will walk you through it. And make the entire change easy.

Hi Cynthia, you could stay with your current host, just open a Amazon S3 account, you will NOT need to re upload any thing you will just be able to send your images to them from your gallery's. All shared hosting servers will have the same problem with "storing" images. Storage charges are cheep, the transfer fees are not that bad either. What i mean by that is when someone views or downloads images from your site you are charge a few cents it really is not that bad and affordable. Load times are super quick. Good luck.

Thank you! I just opened an Amazon S3 account and working on that. I have contacted Saratoga and waiting for a reply. Just not happy with the customer service from site5.
