Please help. I am desperate. I changed hosts days ago and they still can't get my site up and running on their servers. They keep telling me I am missing my database. I don't have a clue what they mean.

Hi Tim. I got as far as creating the database, but when I import and hit browse I don't know where the file would be stored on my computer. I thought downloads maybe, but can't find it.

When you save a download (like downloading the SQL file), you should have the option to where to save it, or it may automatically go to the download folder on your computer. Depends on your browser.

I got it transferred, thank you. Now I'm having trouble with the config file. This is the message I get;
Unable to connect to the databasephp_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known
I have no idea what I am doing wrong.

It sounds like the database hostname is incorrect in the sy-config file. This variable:
$setup['pc_db_location'] = "localhost";
It may be localhost or it may be something different depending on where you are hosting. If you view the database information in your hosting control panel, it should give you the hostname for the database.
