Looking For Some People To Test Out Changes For The Next Update

Looking to see if some of you can test out the new changes for the next update and give me any feedback like any problems or anything on mobile and computer.

This has taken a while because I have rewritten a lot of the viewing photos/purchasing products. So this was a pretty big change.

Here is a test gallery to check out:
http://dev.sytist.com/clients/gallery-a/

Some of the changes are:

On mobile:
  • You can now tap the photos to view and navigate next/previous by swiping left/right or tapping the navigation arrows.

  • The products & packages are now displayed below viewing the photo.

  • Thumbnails can now be viewed in 2 columns.

From photo view, click the photo to view it fullscreen and then on the computer you will have a magnifying glass to view more details of the photo is large enough. On mobile, you can tap then pinch zoom.

View Cart & Favorites total and links display at the bottom of the screen when viewing photos.

A new added to cart notifications

Notifications when adding & removing photos from packages.

Added a slideshow link above the photo (would previously display over the photo).

The Justified thumbnail display has been updated so the thumbnail photos don't get cropped off.

Hi tim, I tested on computer, magnifying glass worked well and quick, view cart on bottom worked. I did not receive a different notification that a print was removed from the cart. Thanks for doing all of this great programing. love this gallery.

Looked on PC - love the magnifying glass feature! I didn't log in, so i'm assuming you need to do that to test the "removed from cart" notification. Cheers.

On a Mac Safari 12.02.2 all works as intended except for the zoom feature. If you click on it, you see the larger image for a split second but then it goes black and you can't navigate back, you have to reload the page. In Firefox it works fine. Actually I had an extension installed and if I turn it off and reloaded the page it works fine. So all good

On my iPhone it all works as well.

Great work, thanks Tim

Philippe, just to clarify, when you turned off the extension, the zoom photo work in Safari?

Hey Tim-

Just did some testing on my desktop, iPad, and my Galaxy 8 phone. It all works really well for me. The swipe is really nice nice a lot of people are use to that. I messed around with the the shopping cart a bit on my mobile device and it looked pretty good and even left a photo out of the collection and it gave me a nice little message that was easy to read and very obvious. I will admit that it has been over a year since I had a collection that allowed for different photos. I did it before and it was just confusing and my customers just couldn’t understand how to add pictures and then select other ones. I will be honest and say I might be just scratching the surface of the power of Sytist so maybe I just picked wrong “format” or template. All I know is with your sample page on ALL platforms looks great! I love how the selections are on the left on desktop and on the bottom on mobile. Adding to collections was easy!!! Much more clear and intuitive.

One observation. When you click a photo and you are given the zoom tool or you pitch to zoom you are not able to navigate to another picture with out “going back”. I realize this is on purpose but is there way that you can allow for advancing to the next picture or back on this screen too? I found myself wanting to do that. Just a thought.. but perhaps something for another day.

Thanks Tim!!!

Thanks for testing it out. For the next/previous on the enlarged photo, I actually considered it and will keep it in mind.
