Price List / Product Option

I need to put product options on products in a specific Price List. I do not want the option to be global, in other Price Lists.
How can I apply a product option to products in one Price List without effecting all the Price Lists that have that same product?

You would have to create a new product in the product base then add that one to the price list. You can duplicate an existing product then add the options to it.

So you're saying that I have to create multiple products of the same item just to change an option. Isn't there a way you could add a menu item in the Price List for options like you have for changing the price? It would also be nice to have a menu in the price list to change the product tax option. The way things are now I will have several new products of basically the same product just because I need to add an option.
Example: I sell to one client with tax included in their price and another client with tax added to the price. If there was a menu in the Price list to check taxable instead of only in the product base that would save me having to create the same product twice in the base and then possibly selecting the wrong base product for a client. :-(

Yes this is how it works. This is why I literally have 100's of products in my product base. Thank goodness for the new tagging feature.

I'm hoping that Tim can use his genius abilities and add the options to the Price List so we can have a simple base product and customize price lists for our clients.
It doesn't hurt to ask. :-)
