Shopping Cart Errors

Have a client who ordered images from a gallery and got through the order but discovered the image she selected did not end up in her cart. They were some random other images. I am working with her to get it corrected. I have been doing some testing and 1 in 20 adding to cart experiences I ended up with very random set of images 5 in total that suddenly appeared in the cart on ordering one image that we not even apart of the galley image set. 1 was a marketing image that was a title image from a completely different gallery. I also had some checkouts that doubled the shipping cost from 8 to 16 dollars. The cart appears very flakey. To put it all in perspective I did change host last week and had some mod-security issues that would not allow me to save changes to the footer. The host provider whitelisted something that allow me to save but maybe there are other conflicts. Does that seem possible?

i have determined that the shipping cost issue was actually generated by an $8 entry in the additional shipping field. With that removed, the shipping is correct. The host provider cannot find any mod_security triggers. still unclear why that is occurring

Sounds like your host is using some sort of caching service which can cause these type of errors. You should contact your host and ask them to disable any of the following, at least disable it for the Sytist part of your website:

Varnish
Cloud Flare
Site Lock

Yes. i emailed them yesterday and there was a server side caching being used. They have since turn it off and so far my testing seems to suggest that was the case and it appears to be working now. thank you
