Competition / Voting

Hi
Is it possible to set up a gallery and have people vote on the images and have the votes counted up for each image?
i.e. run a competition where people vote for their favourite image.
I would only want people to be able to vote for a single image from their email address.
Having them register to view the gallery and, ideally be able to have them opt in to receive marketing information from us.

This is an awesome idea. I have a large event coming up in March and would love to be able to do this as I want there to be a prize involved. Any ideas on a separate App that may able to be used for this if the option is currently not available would also be of interest for me at this point.

I"m in too. Years ago we ran "Photo of the Week" contests, giving a free 8x10 to each week's winner. Always thought it was a useful tool in keeping people talking about us and coming back to our website. Somewhere along our trek to a better online sales solution we lost the tool. Would like to have access to running that feature again.

A workaround would be to set up category and name it PHOTO CONTEST. Within that category have instructions to vote on their favorite photo. Then create galleries and add the photo as a preview so that your customer can see which photo to vote on and leave it in pre-registration mode. Tell your customers to click on the photo they like best and submit their email as a vote. When you go into each gallery and see how many email were submitted, highest wins.

I use this method to get a survey on how many people would be interested in doing an event at one location versus another location.

PHOTO CONTEST (category)
photo 1 (gallery)
photo 2(gallery)
photo 3(gallery)

All galleries are in pre-registration mode. Set the gallery view as ON PHOTO. This will create 3 square galleries on the main PHOTO CONTEST category. When your customer click on their favorite they can submit their email as a vote.
