I deleted the testimonial section that came with Template 1. Now I want to use it. How do I go about adding that back in?

I would go to the sytist demo admin area and save the template from there and import it into your page.

When editing the page, click Add Design Element then Headings & Text and drag the "A colored background are with text overlay" to the page. That is what is used in that template.
