Hi There, I need to have sales tax included in the total, not additional. I have checked the " Show prices including VAT" box but it's still adding tax on at the checkout.

Selecting the show prices including VAT will display the prices with the VAT included when they are selecting products. At checkout and on the orders, it breaks it down so it shows the VAT total separately.

My product prices all include tax (which is normal here in Australia). Even with the "Show prices including VAT" box ticked it is adding additional tax on in the checkout.

eg product costs $40, including tax. Checkout price is $40 + $4tax = $44.

I need it to say product costs $40, tax included $3.63, total $40

You will need to price your products the price not including the tax. And set your tax percentage using the VAT option in Settings -> Tax.

Here is how to calculate the price of the products minus the vat:

And if you want VAT to say Tax instead, you can change that word in Design -> Page Text and search the page for VAT.

Hmm, this is a bit of a problem.
We are required to show tax inclusive.
It's also a bit messy to have my product prices $36.3636364 to get to the $40 price point I've already advertised.

For us the tax line is information only. It doesn't need to calculate in the total. Is there a way to add it on? Just need a line that divides the total by xx% and states that's what the tax included is.

I've referred a whole heap of other Australian school/kindy photographers who are currently checking Sytist out. It will be a problem for them too.

So you don't need the customer to see the tax amount broken down on the orders? If that is the case what about just not adding tax. Then $40 includes tax.

Legally, we still need to show the amount of tax that has been included.
