Hello, I have some troubles because I need to tags people with theres names on my galerie and google image read theses names.

My customers don't want to be referenced on google (and I don't want too) but I need the internal search engine of sytist work with theres names.

I have ask to google image don't read my web site in robots.txt but that don't work (perhaps because pictures are on amazon S3, so the robots.txt directives is not use but google).

I think google use the link View all photo tags links who is activated when search is enable on a page. Is there any way to only have the search form ? Like that names will never be show, the only way to find pictures is to know names.

Best regards,

If you have tags on the images, then they are added to the alt tag and such. If the gallery is password protected, then google would not be crawling them.

I don't if there is a way to use a robots.txt file for your amazon s3 bucket, but might be possible.

Hi,

I can't use password protected gallery, that make to many work. The french law ask me don't show the name of people (my tags), but a search form can be use for find people. Like that if you don't know name you can find people and if you see the gallery the name is not show on pictures.

I have robotos.txt but that don't work when we use bucket, that work when a bucket is share with the function static web share hosting (french translation, don't know if this is the real name in amazon S3).

Best regards,

This may help, but if you want to just hide the link under the search, you can edit your theme (Design -> Edit My Theme), click additional CSS in the left menu and add this line of code:

#pagephotosearch .textright { display: none; }

That hides the link, but being hidden, goggle shouldn't access it.
