Hello Tim. I decided to take the plunge and finally get the update, but I'm running into a similar problem that I had before. When uploading a batch, or maybe just an individual image, although I can see the images in folders on the server, Sytist is refusing to acknowledge their existence. and therefore display them in the choose photo section. Strangely the tags I applied to the photos, Stytist sees, but not the actual images. I've tried three times now, same problem. Please help me.

I think it is something to do with uploading via FTP into the All Photos section instead of upload into a gallery in conflict with the new stock photo section option.

Click on Settings in the main menu.

Under the left menu, click MySQL query.

Copy the line below and paste it into there and click run. ONLY do this if you are not using a "Stock Photo" section. Then see if you see them in the all photos section. (BTW, if you are uploading photos for a gallery, it would be better to go to the gallery first, then click the upload photos from the gallery).

------ this line -----

UPDATE ms_photos SET pic_client='0';

Hi Tim.

Before I try working with your suggestion, I just wanted to add that the images are appearing fine in the home page of the control panel editor, and I can also click on them there and everything is is fine. However as soon as I switch to the forth tab- 'All Photos', the photos disappear. The fault/bug too is also intermittent. I uploaded three other photos previously, all the same size of 1.5mb all perfectly. Renaming the file too, did nothing. It's very weird, but sadly not robust enough either. It must be robust, and it must work, reliably every time, each time. Also I am not using an external FTP client, just the one that pops up automatically when 'upload photos' is selected.

cheers.

Tom

Yes, that worked.

however, I do intend to use the 'stock photo' section fairly soon. Will I have to keep running this, or will you provide a fix?

I have had a chance to look into it yet but will be making a fix. I think the issue is when uploading photos via FTP then processing them in the All Photos section.

Hi Tim.

Just to let you know that I just had the same problem again, but typing:

UPDATE ms_photos SET pic_client='0';

in the 'MySQL Query' fixed it again. So whatever is happening, it's definitely something to do with this function.

This happens when you FTP upload photos and then process them in the All Photos section. I have it fixed for the next update. But if you are uploading photos for a gallery, you should go to the gallery first, then do the upload photos and process from the gallery.

While we're on the subject of ftp, I can't get Sytist's internal ftp client to work either (for bulk uploading of folders). For some reason the password is not recognised, then after a couple of failed attempts I get a window saying there is a problem with the server and I should contact the administrator, and I can't seem to get back to the login with username and password screen. Cyberduck however, works flawlessly.
