So I'm trying out the Download Credit option that was just introduced. I have it all setup on the site and listed as purchase option for my downloads in the product list. It appears to work great. I go to a gallery and select a picture and click on Download and then select the download size. After which it gives me an option to purchase the download for the cash price and purchase using the download credits. If I click on the download credit option it then gives me the options to buy credits. This is easy. But what if I'm a "new customer" just looking to buy credits for now and not a specific picture. Is there some way I can direct customers directly to a shopping cart option where they can just buy credits for now? I haven't figured it out yet. I always seem to have to find a potential picture to buy and then I can get options to buy credit.

You can make a link in your menu (Design -> Menu Links) , and make the URL this:
javascript:buycredits(0);
javascript:buycredits(0);

It could be triggering mod security on the server because it contains the word javascript. For that you would have to check with your hosting company and see if they can whitelist the mod security rule it is triggering. Mod security is good, but has a lot of false positives.
