Calendar Allowing Double Booking For Special Event

Hi Tim,

I am having an issue with a special one-day event, and the time slots set to 30 minutes. The calendar is not removing the booked time and allowing others to double book. I saw that there was another thread posted on this, but if there was an update, it's still happening. I have confirmed the client and I assume the time slot should not appear once booked, and I do not have 'reminder only' checked. Am I missing something?

Thank you.

Hallie

There is an option for "Appointments Per Time" when editing the booking service. Is it set to 1?

Thanks, Tim! That did the trick. I thought that was meant for the entire length of the event.

Best,
Hallie

I'm having the same issue.

I have a special 1 day event of 20 minute mini sessions.

The length is set to 20 minutes.

Appointments per time is set to 1

Yet it's allowing a single time slot to double book.

Emails just went out to hundreds of people...I really need to fix it fast!

Thanks

I think my problem is solved...but I don't understand why.

I changed the calendar "booking settings" to 20 minute blocks (they had been set to 30 minutes).

It doesn't make sense to me why I needed to do that.

It seems logical that the "length" setting on the event page should over ride anything else.

What happens if I add another event with a 15 minute length on a different day.

Wouldn't they conflict?

I don't think the changes you made made any difference. It is possible 2 people can book the same appointment within a few minutes. I will be adding a function to check bookings every second to prevent that scenario.

That's probably it...their invoices are 12 minutes apart.

Thanks for the fix!

I can't find where this option is:

"There is an option for "Appointments Per Time" when editing the booking service. Is it set to 1?" I have special events for 2 dates and the system is not removing booked dates and allowing double bookings

When editing the booking service, it's down the right side of the page.

I don't have that on my screen. I now remember it from before. Maybe an update wiped it away on my side? See below

The appointments per time option was added in version 1.8, so maybe you are not using at least that version. But it should be removing the booked time. So you are saying, someone booked a time and that time slot is still available when viewing that service on the website?

You may want to email me the link to your Sytist admin with username and password and let me know where to look.

Hi Tim,

I will email you. Yes I have a 1 day special and someone booked the 12:30 and then it allowed another booking for same time slot. For now I just keep changing the times the session is offered to block out booked times
