See this for a follow up update (2.0.1) if you updated before April 11, 2017 10:45AM CST and an error on the customer login screen

A new Sytist update (2.0) is now available and some of the changes includes:

  • Added the option to auto confirm booking service without a deposit for booking calendar services. (Option when editing a booking service)

  • Added when requiring an email address to view a gallery, that email address is recorded if they add something to their cart and will show next to the cart in Stats -> Shopping Carts with the option to send them an email.

  • Added the option to disable payment option(s) on a per gallery basis. (Option when editing a gallery down the right side).

  • Added the option to adjust the order of menu items in the mobile menu (Design -> Menu Links)

  • Added the option for menu items that have drop down menus to be opened / closed in mobile menu (When editing a menu link in the more options section in Design -> Menu Links)

  • Added the option to display galleries / pages alphabetically in sections. (Edit section -> Layouts -> Page Listing Layout -> Order pages by)

  • Made some changes to increase the load time of thumbnails about 300% for galleries with a lot of photos.

  • If you are using the Featured Content on the home page and only selecting one section, if that section is set to manually arrange order, the home page will now also show in that order instead of date descending.

  • Added to the Coupons list how many times a coupon has been used with a link to the orders it was used on.

There are other changes as well.
Click here for the complete change log for this update.

How to update:
The first time each day you log into the admin it will check for the update. If you have already logged into your admin today , then you won't get the notice until tomorrow.

If you are currently using version Sytist 1.0.0 or higher, you can have it check for the update again by clicking on Settings in the main menu. Then scroll down and below the left menu, click MySQL query. Copy the following line of code, paste it in the query box and click run.

UPDATE ms_history SET upgrade_check='';

Then return to your admin home page.

If the auto update feature won't work for you for some reason, you will have to manually update.

Awesome update Tim!!
Would love to see sub gallery hiding or making draft if possible. We used subgalleries to help separate sales at 2 locations for an event and it worked well that way, just wished I could have hid the galleries that had completed their sales.

Thanks

Thanks guys.

I have had to put out a follow up update (2.0.1) to this because of an error on the customer log in screen for those who are hosting with PHP version 5.4 or lower. If you have already updated today (April 11, 2017) before 10:45AM CST and need to update to fix the error, do the following:

In your Sytist admin, click on Settings in the main menu. Then under the left menu, click MySQL query.

Copy the following line of code and paste it into there and click run:

UPDATE ms_history SET upgrade_check='';

Then return to your Sytist admin home page and you will see an update for version 2.0.1. Do the update and it will fix it.

If you have been able to do the updates from the admin in the past, then maybe it is just a temporary server issue. Try again later or in the morning and see if it works then.

Hi.

Updated fine, but the 'my favourites' heart icon is disappearing on mobile.

It appears I failed to add the icon option if checked to the favorites link with the changes in the mobile menu made in this update. I have made a note to look into it.

My site seems to have struggled with the update:

I have been trying to update every day since I received the notification on top of my admin home page. At first it was v 2.0 that would freeze up at unzipping. Then it was 2.1. But today when I tried I got this error

Fatal error: Class 'ZipArchive' not found in /website_hosting_info/sy-admin/sytist-update.php on line 60

What do I need to do to get this resolved? Thanks.

That error means (and why you can't update) that the ZIP functions are not enabled in the PHP configuration on your hosting. If you have been able to do the update from the admin, then the ZIP functions were previously there.

You can contact your hosting company and ask them to enable the ZIP functions in the PHP settings then you can do the auto update from the admin. If not, then you will need to manually update.
