How To Setup A Collection With Extra New Photo Option

I am trying to setup a collection that has 1 product but the customer would have the option to add extra new photos to it. The idea is that I am going to have a collage that will charge per photo added. I have the limit set to 0, extra photo set to 0.00, extra new photo set to the price I want to charge for a new photo, require all products to have photo selected is checked.

When I test it out it says that the collection is complete when I select 1 photo and there is no option to add an extra new photo. I have changed the extra photo to the same price as the extra new photo and tested also but still there was not the option to add a new photo but I was able to put in a quantity in and get multiples of the same photo.

I am sure I just don't have it set right, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you Tim for such a great product and always helping out.

What I am trying to do is a collage based on words. They can spell any word they would like but each letter would charge more. So I have set the base price as the cost of one letter, but I can't seem to get the extra new photo option to appear even though I have set the price there for what the additional letter would be. Any ideas? or maybe I should be trying to setup this collage a different way?

For each letter, will they be selecting a photo? Or is this for just text?

Yes each letter they will be selecting a photo. So the idea is that they will add a picture at an additional cost for each letter then they will leave a comment to let me know what the word is so that I can use the photos in the letters that they look the best in. So the range of letters can range from a few to a lot depending on the word, since "swim" would only be 4 and "basketball" would be 10, or some last names may be longer.

What you will need to do is

1) Photo Products -> Product Base, create a new product. Name the product something like "Add a Letter". For Product Type, select "Other" and leave everything else unchecked. No need to add a default price. In the description enter in something like "Select this to add another letter".

2) Once you have created it, scroll down to it in the product base and in the Options click Options and create new option. Name the option "Enter in the letter" and make it a Text Field option. Check that it is a required option.

3) Go to Photo Products -> Collections and create a new collection. Give it a new, price and have "I will assign products to the collection" checked.

Once it is created, "Select Product to add", select that "add a letter" product with a quantity of 1.

Then in the extra photo and extra new photo, enter in the price you want the extra letters to be for both of those.

Then add it to your price list.
