I really like the new calendar function - thank you for that, Tim. I also need to create bookings that are specifically just for the weekday, the weekend, or saturday or sunday only. The "Special 1 Day Event" facility is great - can we have something similar for the above mentioned situations also?

That is something I was considering while developing the calendar. I will probably add that ability at some point.

I was just gonna ask for this...Love it and NEED it!

I would think this would be handy for almost everyone that uses the Calendar feature.

Tim is there a timetable on when it will be available?

I've seen these options...what I need is to be able to host once a year events on specific dates with a different schedule each day.

For instance I have an event on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend each year.

I need to set those specific dates aside.

The hours for the event change daily based on the venue availability.

So my calendar would look something like

Friday, November 24, 2017 from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Sunday, November 26, 2017 from Noon - 4:00 pm

The only way I can accomplish it now is to break it down to three one day events...it works, but it's clunky and can be confusing to customers.

Hi Tim,

Sorry to be repetitive...I know you sift through tons of posts and emails and some are bound to fall through the cracks.

I'm planning to go live this week. I'd love to use the Sytist calendar because it fits so nicely into the website.

The problem is the Sytist calendar does not function smoothly for 95% of what I'd like to use it for.

I do several multi-day events each year.

I need to have a single link to those events where clients can choose which day and time they want to book.

For instance I have an event on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend each year.

I need to set those specific dates aside.

The hours for the event change daily based on the venue availability.

So the calendar would look something like

Friday, November 24, 2017 from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Sunday, November 26, 2017 from Noon - 4:00 pm

I always have the option to continue with HitAppoint...it does the job and I can mess with the CSS...but I'd really like to go pure Sytist if I can.

Most of my events are in the second half of the year...is there a chance something can/will be implemented by then?

Thanks

You can create a new booking section or create a category under your booking section then add a special 1 day event booking service for each day so when someone goes to that category or section, they can select which day.

Okay...

I created my "Scheduling Center"

I created an sub-category "event"

Then I created a page for each day.

That works great...my last hurdle is to get the "event page" to show up in the "Scheduling Center"

Then they could click that link to get to the choice of days.

Can that be done??

It should automatically show the "event" when going to "Scheduling Center". If it isn't, edit your "event" category and make sure "active category" is checked.

I'd like to 'bump' this thread again, I hope this is still on your radar.

I am photographing a church directory in a couple months; we are still working out the details but they may have as many as 14 different dates to choose from, spread out over about 6 weeks. It would be awesome if people could view the calendar (month view) to see which days are open and which are not.

I will set it up as you suggested earlier with a bunch of "one day events" but as you can imagine that's a bit clunky. It also makes using a 'preview photo' annoying as it greatly stretches the screen space required to list the events.

EDIT: For anyone else reading this, an alternate method which sort of works (if you don't need other events on your calendar) is to "Make date unavailable" on every date you are NOT shooting.

You can do this from the admin Calendar section, just click a calendar date and the option will come up. It isn't ideal in that people can scroll ahead a month or two still but it's a tool you might be able to use.
