Dollar Sign $ Not Working

Hi! I am using a contact form, and the dollar signs don't show in some description boxes. In fact, when I add a dollar sign in front of a number, even the numeric values vanish - so in some instances I've had to use "25 dollars". Super awkward! How can I make it so I can show $25 instead?

I can't seem to duplicate this but try adding a slash in front of the $ sign like \$
