Adding Print Credit To Account

Is there a way to add a print credit to an customer account, so there is no need to deal with credit codes? We saw, that it is possible to add a account credit, but we would need a print credit based on a collection.

I think this would be a great feature. I assumed it worked that way at first.

Click on the client's name and "add credit".

Terri,

that is what I wrote that is not sufficient for us. As far as I can see in the Admin-Demo, you can only add a credit (amount) but not a print credit (for specific items), isn't it? For my understanding Print Credits currently needs a code, the customers have to redeem to. Applying print credit to the customers account seems to be impossible for now. It would be very interesting to know, if this is a feature which could be released in the next coming updates or not.

Lucas

I guess I don't see what the difference is. If it's credit, it's credit. Yes, I've put credit on someone's account and they've used it for something else. But I don't consider that to be the end of the World.

If you want to limit them and what they can order, you can set a specific price group for that client and not allow them to order something else.

Hi Terri,

I understand that it seems insane to have print credit instead of credit, but it isn't. For every Photoshooting we include some prints which normally costs the customer around 20$, but are absolutely inexpensive for us. Of course we don't want the customers uses the credit for gift-items like coffe-mugs which they should be able to purchase of course, but not with that credit. That's why we need those print-credits. For now, we have to provide them a print credit code, but some customers are overstrained just to put items in the cart and checkout. That's y why we asked for add print-credits to customer accounts.

Lucas

I've solved this request myself. Just log into the customers account from the Admin Menu, then redeem the code to add the print credit to their shopping cart. That's it. Maybe there is a more elegant way to do this in future, but it work!

I am trying to understand how a credit works all together. I have a client with a $115.00 credit in her "account" under her register name. When she goes to check out there is no credit in her basket.

What am I missing??

Has this problem ever been solved? I'm trying to add a print credit directly to their account, so they don't have to enter a code . . . but something isn't working.
