Hi! I've set up a form, however when I fill it in, I keep getting the message : "you have required fields empty" - even though all fields are filled in!!! Any ideas? Thanks Dawn

Can you post or email me a link to the page with the form?

I'm having this problem, too. I'm trying to embed a Mailchimp form, and I have the fields set to "required." When I go to save the page, I get the same error, which means I can't save it, so there's no link to the page to show you.

ETA: I used the [JOIN_MAILING_LIST] code, and got the single email address field, but I want first and last names, too. I can't seem to get this to work. Is it a Mailchimp thing?

The mailing list feature you can integrate with MailChimp:
http://www.picturespro.com/sytist-manual/articles/mailchimp/

And if you go to People -> Mailing List Settings, you can enable to ask or require first & last name.

Hmmm... I did all of those things, and I can't get the first and last name to show up on the popup form created by Sytist. Otherwise, this is a pretty freakin' sweet feature!

Um... ETA: One has to check both the "ask" and "require" boxes in order for them to show up. *facepalm*

However, it would still be cool to have a link to a form. Is there a better way to do this than to embed the Mailchimp code?

You could create a top level page and add this code to the page:

[JOIN_MAILING_LIST]

To add a link to your main menu that will show the popup join, use the following link as the URL in the menu link:

javascript:showpopupemailjoin();

Hi Tim,

I would like to add a subscription form for users to subscribe to another mailing list, different to the newsletter subscription.
This is to request more information concerning a service for marketing.

I know this can be sort of be done using forms but forms within sytist do not have an autoresponse email, so instead I am using mailchimp to create the form and a response email which contains links to a video and pdf file and other information.

However when I embed the code from mailchimp I can't save the page as the save button seems to submit that form and a required field error shows up for that form.

If you are adding form code, use the Video option when editing the page. You can paste your code in the video embed section and it won't run which is causing your issues.
