Attention
If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.
You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.
Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Back End Of Photocart Works, But Not The Front End

Prophoto updated my blog today and they upgraded my domain to PHP 7. I have photo cart and so I downgraded it back to 5.6, the back end of photocart works but the front end for clients doesn't. It just shows a blank page. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Could possibly be a permission issue with the Photo Cart folder or that it is still actually PHP 7. You may need to have your host look into it. But it is hard to say without seeing the link or the files.

When I look at my cpanel in the multiphp manager it says my entire domain is PHP 5.6 (ea-php56) . Is there a specific folder I should look at for my permissions? My host doesn't seem to have any suggestions, he just said to play with the multiphp manager. Thank you!

Look at the permissions of the index.php file in the main Photo Cart folder. Should be 644.
If it is just a blank page, then it is probably a 500 server error. Maybe your host has an error log that would show what is causing that error.

Yea it is a 500 error. PHP 7 will cause that too. Maybe the front end is getting PHP 7.

This is what I received from the host after I asked about a 500 error.
The whole site is running on php 5.6.
I am sure there is way to run some folders on php 5.6 and some on php 7, but right now it is all on php 5.6 so if it needs 5.6 and it is still not working, then I don't know what will fix it.
