Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

My clients are placing orders for prints and when they get to the payment step, they input their card info, submit the order, then they get error message ' 405 Not Allowed'. I went in as a customer and went through the same steps and got the same message. Then I receive the order via email showing that no payment was made. I need a fix!

Something must have changed on the server or the payment gateway to cause that error. The 405 error is a server error. What payment option are you using?

Hello, I am using PayPal and have for years. I don't think I have changed anything.

Maybe a file got corrupted. Try downloading these Photo Cart files:

https://www.picturespro.com/sy-misc/download/7-1-0_Photo_Cart_Upgrade.zip

And upload them following the upgrade instructions here which will replace any corrupted files:
http://www.picturespro.com/manuals/photo-cart-7/Upgradingfromversion50orhigher.html

If that doesn't fix it you might want to contact your hosting company and see if any changes were made.

Thanks Tim, I made the update you recommended and it still will not allow a customer to pay with their card. So, I will check with my hosting company, next.

Here's where the error occurs. https://mwp-gallery.com/photocart/payment/dcc_process.php
405 Not Allowed error.

I think the problem is the Paypal API password. I logged into my PayPal and it served up a new password. It seems that it had been change in August. I tried to put the new password into setting/payment options and I could not change the password. It just spun for 4 minutes and served up another 405 error.

Trying to get closer to the problem.

Looks like you are using PayPal Pro. According to this page:

https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/ipn/integration-guide/HTMLStatusCodes/

405
Method Not Allowed
The method used by the client is not supported by this URL. The methods that are supported must be listed in the response's Allow header.

Might want to ask PayPal because I am not sure what that means. They might have some logs on the errors.

You could alternatively use the PayPal Standard option.

I activated PayPal Standard and everything works fine now.
