Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

In uploading images and going to process the ftp images, it will process between 15-19 images and then when it reloads after pausing it shows the first images uploaded with Error adding > Query was empty < that error in-between each of the thumbnails. It was doing this before so I upgraded to the latest version and it is still doing it. Please help me out, I am getting behind in posting a few galleries.

Thanks

I have no idea why you would be getting that error. It is a database error of some sort. I assume it used to work fine?

Are there any non-standard characters in the file names?

I am doing everything as I have for the past 5 years or so. Characters in the names are the same format and images are the same size. I have tried a couple different galleries to see if it was just a fluke, but each time I try the first 19 or so images will process and then I get the error.

Looking at the code, maybe you are uploading photos to a gallery that photos already exist in that gallery with the same file name. Is that possible?

Unfortunately, no. This started with a new gallery created. I did try to delete the gallery through the gallery management page and re-upload, but that did not work. I have tried a couple new galleries as well.

Then it must be an issue with the server since the code hasn't changed and it used to work. You will need to email me the link to your Photo Cart admin with the username and password and your FTP username and password so I can test.
