Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Resolved - Issues When Viewing Gallery

Hi everyone,

I'm posting for my sister as she's having an issue with her installation. This was not an issue on a recent Windows IIS 8 webserver but we were forced to move the site. A quick description of the problem is that when either in the admin viewing a gallery, or when viewing a gallery as a customer, all of the thumbnails for the gallery are shown, but when you click on any of them all that you get is a large white box with a loading animation running indefinitely. There are no errors shown in the sites error log, no errors in the browser developer console either. This doesn't quite do it justice but here's a gif of what's happening:

Here's the server information:

OS: CentOS 7.2
Web server: nginx 1.10
PHP: 5.4.45
Photo Cart version: 7.1.0

Thanks to anyone who replies.

I suspect maybe the watermarking or watermark file missing. Go to Settings -> Watermarking and turn it off and see if it makes a difference.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the quick reply! I believe I have the watermarking disabled ( http://i.imgur.com/8znD94H.png ) but I am still seeing the issue.

I could be on a complete red herring chase here, but when reviewing the page in question and digging through it with the developer console I end up at this path:

viewPhotoContainer div ==> viewPhotoOuter div ==> viewPhoto div ==> photoview-110466-container div

which contains:

img class="photoView" id="photoview-110466" src="view_photo.php?pic_id=110466"

So naturally I tried to goto /admin/view_photo.php?pid_id=110466 but was only greeted with a white box, no errors in the log or console:

Should that view_photo.php return something on it's own normally? It can spit out variable values throughout the script if I add in some echo statements but it seems to get all the way to the imagjpeg function and doesn't output the image, but doesn't throw an error either.

Anyway, thanks for looking.

I would really need a link to a gallery and access code if needed so I can see it. Post or email me that.

It is generating an error when trying to generate the image. Download this zip file:
https://www.picturespro.com/sy-misc/download/Photo-Cart-image-file.zip

unzip it and upload it into the Photo Cart folder (the store sub domain) overwriting the existing one.

If that doesn't fix it, then you will need to email me the link to the Photo Cart admin with the admin username and password along with the FTP username and password.

Just wanted to add to this a personal thank you to Tim for looking into this issue for me and resolving it. It ended up being additional white space in my setup.php file that was causing the issue, so remember kids, always check for whitespace!
