Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Are you not wanting people on mobile devices not see the site completely? Or not see the mobile version?

Hi Tim,

Id like to be able to disable the mobile site so that any customers be it on a iphone or ipad ect can see the cart and more importantly buy prints.

I have gone to "Customise - Mobile header - Disable mobile site" but this doesnt disable the mobile site.

Any words of wisdom would be great.

Cheers, Andy

To disable mobile detect, download this zip file and read the READ-ME file for instructions:

I have just updated that zip file (I missed a line of code). So re-download it and follow the instructions and it will disable any mobile detect.

Hi, I'm also wanting to disable the mobile option because the mobile option essentially makes it so people can't purchase anything which I don't really understand.
I downloaded the file linked above and uploaded the new pc_head file to my photocart folder but the mobile site is still showing up. Any idea what else to try?
Thanks,
Prem

Maybe you didn't upload it overwriting the existing one. This post is from 3 years ago and that file was working then.

I'll try it again but in my FTP software, the file on my server shows yesterdays date.

I just uploaded it again with the same result. Is there any way to reach out to some of the other people that had this problem a while back to see if their cart still functions properly?
I know I did this about a year ago and I remember that it DID work properly but for some reason now it is not.

I don't know who else used this file. Maybe someone will see this post, but I can't think of any reason why it did work and now it doesn't because that removed the mobile detection completely.

I would guess that the other people that used this are the people on this thread but I have no way of reaching out to them that I can find.

I just found out that if a customer selects a photo in a gallery with a mobile device (iPhone) nothing happens and thus they cannot see the print offerings and thus cannot make a purchase. Same customer tried a laptop and everything works. Is there a fix to this?

Here is a new file to download with an updated way to disable mobile detection. Download, unzip and refer to the readme file

Is this still the best method to fix the problem of people not being able to order anything on their phones? I also don't understand why they'd be able to view and not order anything. Checking "disable mobile site" in my settings did not seem to make any difference. I don't want to download an old file if it will cause problems.
