Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

When I try to log in to the admin account I get this message: Unable to connect to the databaseAccess denied for user 'hollytye_picspro'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

When I try to use Dave's uploader it says Service or database is unavailable, try again later

Is this something I can fix or is it something being worked on behind the scenes? Thanks so much. Have a few clients wanting to place orders.

That error means that someone has changed the password for the database user. What you will have to do is go into your hosting control panel and go into the MySQL databases section.

Create a new database user.

Then add that new database user to your Photo Cart database.

Then in the file manager in your hosting control panel, go into the photo cart folder, edit the setup.php file and update the $setup['pc_db_user'] & $setup['pc_db_pass'] variables with the new username and password.

Thank you very much. How do I add new database to my photocart database? I'm sorry, not familiar with this type of stuff!

When you are viewing the databases section in your hosting control panel, there should be an option to add the user to the database. If you can't find it, you can ask your hosting company.

Thank you. I got that fixed and now it says my FTP password or username is incorrect. I haven't changed anything and have used it since last week when I had the other problem. Should I be concerned that these things keep changing on their own?

FTP comes from your hosting. So your host must have automatically changed it which they may do from time to time. You would need to contact your host for your current FTP information.
