Loading Pictures In Order In A Gallery

When I upload photos into a gallery, the photos don't organize themselves by filename. They organize themselves in seemingly random order. Is there a way to have all subfolders, folders, and files all automatically upload in file name ascending order? I don't want to have to constantly change the order of files after uplaoding. Is there a setting to make this happen automatically each time? For both folders and files within the folders.

They are in the order you upload them.

When naming your images, you will want to use leading zeros in the numbers. For example: 0001, 0002, 0010, 0012, 0100, etc

When you names them like 1,2,3,10,11,20,21,100,101,etc, the server will most likely order them as 1,10, 100, 101, 2, 20, 21 which we don't want.

So for that reason, your image file names should have leading zeros. If the image filename also has letter, you will still want to use leading zeros

All my folders have 4 digit names and all my files are named something like RJG1234, etc. They are 4 digits and they organize by file name after being uploaded IF I click on the rearrange button. I am asking how to make it organize them by filename by default, instead of having to click rearrange each time in each folder after I upload the files. Is there a master setting to make it organize by name ascending by default?

They are in the order you upload them.

If you are by chance using a MAC and using the option to upload folders of photos, then it is a bug with apple products where they are not selecting in the filename order. This is a bug with Apple products. You can try to use another browser and see if you get different results.

Otherwise they are uploaded in the order they are selected and in order by filename.
