How To Pre-orders Access And Credit For Customers

Hi Tim,

Is there a detailed manual on using the Pre-Order system?
I have created a landing with prices for people to pre-pay for a grad night.
Done, all went smooth.
Now I am loading the images into a gallery and trying to give instructions on how to access their credit.
I jumped into one customers account and noticed they have a "paid invoice" but no "credit" sitting there.
Do I need to manually turn these invoices into credit for every customer now?
Do they need to create an account or would they have been forced to do that when they placed the pre pay order?
I don't grasp how this all works - is there anything with details on this.
Thank you!

Thank you, Vance.
Yes, that is what I used to set it up.
I just want to give clear instructions on how they access this credit.
So.
Do they need to log into the account they created, and the credit will be sitting there?
What about when in my back end I can already see for one customer the money is showing in an invoice but not as credit - to me that already says this will be a problem - or is that normal?
I dont want a flurry of parents ringing me with issues, just getting ducks in a row.
Thanks.

Hi, I would recommend doing a full test with a dummy account, if you think you have everything set up correctly.
After you have uploaded your photos and turned pre-order off for the gallery the customer will be able to select the images/collections you had available for pre order.
No there is not a credit displayed only a paid invoice. The customer can click on the gallery name on the invoice and it will take them to the gallery.
If you have used collections the process is kinda the same and it will display a "Add to" box then they must go through the check out process again. but it will display $0.00 if that is all they are getting and not adding extras to the order.

You can send customers an email that the gallery is ready for them to complete their order or they can just log in to their account and click on that invoice.

Be aware completing the order does make another invoice so in essence you will have two invoices, one for payment and the other for the actual order.
