Download File Extension Question

When I upload the photos - they all have a .jpg file extension - all my files are stored at AWS - S3, I have also checked there and they all have a .jpg file extension, however, when a client downloads an image or I test a free download, the extension is .jpeg
Now all my clients and programs like the four digit extension - is there a setting I'm missing to make sure the exact extension that is uploaded is also downloaded the same and not changed?

Nothing changes the file extension. When a photo is downloaded it is named the original name of the photo. So if it has a .jpeg extension then it was uploaded that way.

Here is a screen shot of an uploaded photo and file name - but when downloaded, the extension is .jpeg - so it appears something is changing it

I don't see a .jpeg. Where does it show that? That is .jpg
