Early Bird Discount Applied When It Shouldn't Be?

We have early bird discounts applied to our galleries at upload that expire after a set amount of time.
I just received an order where one item was discounted (after the EB date ended). The rest were appropriately full price.
How is this possible? My best guess would be that they added the EB item to their cart before it expired? Is there any way to prevent this in the future if that's the case?
I also noticed that our shipping did not switch over on any of our galleries after the ED passed as it was supposed to. Any idea why that would be ? Triple checked that the date had indeed passed and was the correct year).

I don't know why there would be a discount on one item.
You can email me the following for me to look into it:
1) Link to your Sytist admin.
2) The admin username and password (or create me an admin account by clicking Admins in the upper right corner of the admin pages).
3) The order number of the order in question.
Shipping groups and change of price lists won't happen until that gallery is viewed. So the gallery may not have been viewed after that date.
You can email me the following for me to look into it:
1) Link to your Sytist admin.
2) The admin username and password (or create me an admin account by clicking Admins in the upper right corner of the admin pages).
3) The order number of the order in question.
