I'm planing on also raising this with my webhost, but the site is running on a dedicated server so i don't think it's a performance issue.
Over the weekend i uploaded some 5000+ images, and have been receiving orders, however at least 6 have now reported errors when trying to download images.
The error they are getting is -
Safari cannot open the page
The error was :"cannot parse response".
So my feeling is this is this is either a load related issue within sytist or a load related issue with the server or a mobile phone issue as those customers with enough savvy to send a screenshot have all sent a mobile screen shot showing signal strength of 3+ bars and a wifi connection icon

I've now found a similar issue reported earlier this month so have applied the change as suggested by Tim. On asking a couple of the customers who had experienced the issue they were all Apple, running IOS 14.4.2 (latest release)
Sounds like a weird bug between some servers and some apple products.
In your Sytist admin click Settings in the main menu then UNDERNEATH the left menu click edit config file.
Before the closing PHP tag at the end of the file (which is ?>), copy the following line and paste it there and should fix it:
$setup['do_not_use_content_length_header_download'] = true;
