Hi,
How could I change an order's initial payment type ? For example, a client made an ordered and selected an Offline payment (Offline1 which is setup as bank transfer). But then contacted me to change it to cash instead which is also Offline payment (Offline2 in my setup). I see no place to change that.
I even tried changing the values in the database itself, but when listing the orders or viewing the order as a client, it still shows as bank transfer (Offline1). What table:columns should be changed and to what value to reflect that change ?
Thanks

Click the "Edit Payment" tab when viewing the order in the admin. The Payment Type field.

yes I know. But whatever I put in there does not reflect afterwards; it remains as Bank transfer.

You can change the payment type as in what card was used but doesn't change the actual payment type that was used to place the order.
I really don't see any need to really change it anyways, they are both pay offlines and won't make any difference to the order.

Well, when I list the orders, it allows me to know right there the ones that are bank transfers and not paid and the ones that will bring the cash to the establishment. It's much easier to the follow up as I need to verify BEFORE going to print that the cash is brought (cash that I collect when I deliver the prints).
I will try to find another way using the order status that does show up in the list.
But I'm still puzzled how come the printed value does not change even though I changed it in the database. (???)
Thanks for the feedback.

If you want to change the payment option selected, change the order_payment_option value in the table.
The value you change in the admin would be like VISA if a visa card was selected. Not the processer like Square, pay offline, stripe for example.
