Passcode Not Attached To Account

So I think I know the answer to this as I have a general gist from other posts.

But......

Is there no way to attach a passcode to an account when somebody views their images for a child.

I am a school photographer and my current system stores all the passcodes with the account when the get entered. That way the parent does not have to keep remembering the code and inputing it each time they want to view the images. They just logon the once.

The same passcode can be used on multiple accounts also as grandparents may want to create an account and buy images.

Regards
Carl

The current sytist method of allowing account holders to tag their favourites is far preferable, imho.

Passcodes are an 'abstraction' and irrelevant once viewed and tagged.

I must have account holders who have entered perhaps tens of different passcodes over multiple children. Never heard a single complaint about the system.

The passcode does not attach to the account like a gallery password does.

I am just wondering if there has been any development on this? Is there a way to associate a passcode to an account? What would be great marketing is to be able to email each customer (either by importing a database per gallery including the passcode and email if the organization will provide it) OR setting up a pre register and then assigning passcodes to particular subjects and their email address. Then when the photographs are ready we could send out a merged email that says "your photographs are now ready, your passcode is ****" and the direct link. (Either through sytist or using an external platform such as mailchimp if necessary)

Would anyone else benefit from this?

Thank you.

Brooke.
