After having a shit experience with GoDaddy I am now with a new webhost and today I installed a new Sytist site on the servers. Manual Install
Finally have it installed, got to the point were I have to setup the database, log in and that went well and then it moved to the point were I have to log into the admin page.
I put in my user name and password and it just refreshes the page over and over. No errors are listed. If I put in a fake user name and password I get an error as I should.
Any idea what the issue could be???
Thanks

I also replied to your email about this....
It appears the issue is that the PHP session files are not working with the default settings (which makes it so you can log in). Basically, the PHP session folder is not set up.
You can try this and it should work.
Edit the sy-config.php file that is in your main Sytist folder on your website. You can do this through the file manager in your hosting control panel.
Before the closing PHP tag which is ?>, add these 2 lines of code and save:
ini_set('session.gc_maxlifetime', 3600);
ini_set('session.save_path', $setup['path']."/sy-phpsessions");
That should do it. You can also contact your hosting company and let them know PHP sessions are not working.

Good Morning Tim,
I think I did it right but now all I get is the following.
"Unable to connect to the databaseNo such file or directory"
So I put a copy of the org back in and I still only get
"Unable to connect to the databaseNo such file or directory"
Thoughts?
