Stripe Sca

Hi Tim,

Sorry probably a stupid question and nothing to do with picturespro but, I remember in an earlier update you fixed the problem with stripe and SCA but I have just received and email from stripe.
"We’re reaching out to give you an update on the enforcement timeline for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). Our information shows that you still need to make changes to your Stripe integration for your account: Michael Mann Photography). In order to prepare for these new requirements and prevent an increase in declines, please update your integration as soon as possible."

Is there something that I need to do on my end on my website? When I go to the information page on stripe it says about adding lines of code to fix this but I have no real idea about what to do.
Do you have any understanding of what I need to do?

Thanks,
Michael

New payment option was added. Settings -> Checkout & Payment -> Stripe Checkout - 3d secure V2 / SCA

You would need to use that one and disable the other.

Hi Tim,

Ah ok, ive found it thanks.

I have tried to do a test transaction and I am getting this error
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[', expecting ')' in /home/content/47/9899547/html/sy-inc/store/payment/payment-form-stripe2.php on line 38

I think I have set up properly following your instructions. I have deactivated the old stripe, put the new mode in test, added the secret keys and the Webhook but this error happens after I fill in the shipping information and before the page before I can input the card information.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Sounds like you might be on an older version of PHP. See if you can update the PHP to PHP 7 either through your hosting control panel or with your hosting support.

Hi Tim,

So I have been in touch with GoDaddy and they have said I need to upgrade my hosting plan and change over my website from Plesk to Cpanel, doesn't make any sense to me but ok....
To do this they have said I need to create a back up of my website.
My question is, the back up reminder you have offered into the admin page of Stytist, will that be sufficient or will I need to a make a different backup?
Thanks

No, you would need to download all the website files too to your computer using a FTP program. And would probably be best to do the database backup / export through PHPMyAdmin in the hosting control panel. This is something that should be doing too if they are moving you to a new server.
