Pending Subscribers For Mail Chimp & Question...

Ok. I had been doing quite a bit of marketing lately with mail chimp and noticed I wasn't getting the feedback I normally get.

I opened my mailing list tab in sytist and saw I have 42 subscribers but 535 pending!? I had exported my customer base back a year ago when I signed up for mail chimp but it appears none of my new subscribers have been added to my email list...

At this point, I just want to delete my audience in mail chimp and start over with those 535 people...

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks...

My guess you have double opt-in enabled in People -> Mailing List Settings and those that are pending (which are unconfirmed) are ones that did not confirm their email address with the double opt-in email. So basically they did not confirm to be on your mailing list.

You can turn off double opt-in in the mailing list settings.

Nope. It wasn't selected. :/

Is there a way where people wouldn't have to confirm their email? Most I think it goes to their junk.

How do I add those who are pending? Do I need to just start over?

Ah, I feel silly. I did have one option for double in selected on the mail chimp settings.

How do I add those 585? Can I delete my current audience and just start over with those 535??

Technically, you should not add them to your mailing list since they didn't opt-in with the double opt-in. They may be pending in your mailchimp account. I don't recall but see if they are listed in your mailchimp account somewhere.

If you want you can do this.

In your Sytist admin click Settings in the main menu then underneath the left menu click MySQL query. Copy the following code, paste it in there and click run.

UPDATE ms_email_list SET em_status='0' WHERE em_status='1';

Then you can go to People -> Export and export the ones on the mailing list to import them into mailchimp.
