Shipping Notify Says Forbidden

For the last couple of days I have not been able to send shipping notifications as I simply get a new page saying Forbidden.

Any ideas?

That would indicate you or your host updated the Mod Security on the server. Mod Security is good but has a lot of false positives. You would need to get with your host and let them know you are triggering it and they should be able to whitelist the mod security rule you are triggering.

Hi Tim, it has taken me a while to look into this due to some family stuff but today I spoke with my host and this is the info they gave me and said I should ask you about it.

When I hit submit to send the Ship Notify email I get a blank page with just the word forbidden at the top left corner. This is triggering a 'wafrules #340147. Potential cross site scripting attack.'

They tell me this is possibly an attack to gain peoples card details etc.

Please advise.

You are not attacking your own website to steal credit card details (which are not even saved in the site) when you attempt to send shipping notifications.

If they can not whitelist the mod security rule it is triggering then the ship notification will simply not work.
