Email Background Color

Is there a way to change the background color of the emails. I am assuming since they are html format, there should be an html code to change the color, correct?

You would need to go to Settings -> Default Emails and the Email Wrapper tab. That is the code used in emails. I don't know specifically what you would need to do to add a background color, but that is where you would do it.
