Sending Emails Only To People Who Have Registered For That Gallery.

Is there a way to have people pre-register for a specific gallery (in my case a school) and then only those people are emailed when the photos are posted? And then send email reminders to just those people reminding them of offers etc that again apply only to that gallery?

There is a pre-register gallery option, but in order to send out automatic emails you will need to set up "Cron Jobs" Tim will be more help to you if you have trouble following the directions in the manual.

This will get a little confusing but i will give you the gist. If you are planning on collecting payment first create a price list for that use. You can make a "collection" and set it to customer will return to select photos(this will take a little time to explain) after you have your price list. Create your new section"School Photos" I.E. now create your gallery "Lindbergh Senior High" I.E. now where you select "Draft/publish in the drop down select "Pre -register" if you wish to take payment now, Here are the options for package/payment" choose your price list, next choose pre-order . your site is ready to take a registration. note i did use the password change it if you want anyone to just visit the page.

Hope that helps you get started, this is great a great gallery. I should also note that if you use Pre-Register you do not need to set up Cron jobs for email, from admin from that page just click on the people icon that have registered you can then send them all emails when that gallery is ready.
