Photos Upload To Server And Are Getting Processed, But Don't Show In Galleries

I uploaded a batch of photos to my Sytist 3.5.3 today, but after the upload completes, the galleries are empty.

But when I look in the server filesystem, I can see all the files in there (with the different size versions) ...though they should be stored on S3.

Not sure what's happening here, had no problem uploading files last time and haven't made any major changes to anything since.

I have had this before too. I think there is a file size limit. Try reducing your files to under 2MB and see if it makes a difference to them displaying on the front end. Also have you checked your web storage with your host?

Thanks Brooke...I have my file upload size limit set to 20mb on my server, and all of these files were well below. They are uploading fine, I can see them in the server filesystem and in S3...it's just seems like they aren't being fully processed . I've tried uploading very small files too....same result.

Prior to this happening, my hosting account was, in fact, out of storage. This was causing a SQL error (28), but the fact that it happened at all was odd as I store photos in S3, so very little is kept on the server that Sytist lives on. It looks like over the nearly five years I've been using Sytist, there had been enough uploads which had gotten stuck on the server and hadn't been removed after transferring to S3 that the storage had gradually filled up. I cleaned out a bunch of those older files and had plenty of space on the server when I attempted this upload.

1) Have you ever successfully uploaded photos before?

2) Does it show a total image count in the Photos tab for the gallery or does it say 0?

3) Click Settings in the main menu then underneath the left menu, if there is an error log link, click it and see if you see any errors related to the upload.

Hi Tim. Thank you for your assistance:

1) Yes, I've successfully uploaded tens of thousands of pictures since I started using Sytist in 2015.

2) Says 0

3) There is an error log link, but the file is empty.

Also, I just noticed in the dashboard, the "Newest Photos" module is showing a SQL error. Thought it might be a clue:

MYSQL ERROR: Can't find record in 'ms_photos'

Query: SELECT * FROM ms_photos WHERE pic_no_dis='0' ORDER BY pic_id DESC limit 30

Sounds like you have a corrupt database table ... ms_photos.

You will need to go into your HOSTING control panel and then into the MySQL -> PHPMyAdmin.

Go into your Sytist database and run a repair on the ms_photos table.

If this isn't something you can do, your hosting support can probably help.

Tim,

Yep, that was it! Back in business now. Thank you for your advice!

I was able to run the REPAIR query from within Sytist (via the MySQL query link in Settings).
