Site Redesign

So I posted a week or so ago that I was trying to update my site.
I have achieved some success with my plans but have hit a bit of a wall.

As you can see from the attached images I have 5 place holders in position using the
"featured sections(show graphic links to different section') These 8 place holders are probably the exact number of thing I want on the home page.

However one page I created does not show in the drop down menu for featured sections.
How do get it there or what kind of page do I need to create to make it happen.
I have "seemingly" tried every variation of page although obviously I have not.

The sections in the left menu are "sections" to choose from in the featured sections. See attached. Those are the ones that will be available there.

I got it working now.
I had tried sections before but I could not get it to work.
Does have a photo or placeholder uploaded make a difference?
It seemed to me that once I put the place holder up it showed. Logical I suppose.

The section having a placeholder wouldn't make a difference. Not sure why you would not have seen all of them available.
