How Do I Turn Off Price Lists?

Hi,

I am new to Stytist and have looked in the manual and on the support group for an answer to my question without success.

I have managed to work out how to add password protected galleries to my regular (non sytist) site. However I have encountered two difficulties that I cannot overcome:

Firstly, I would like my clients to gain access to their gallery using a password only (without supplying an email address).

Secondly, the gallery I have created features a pricing list. I would like to turn this off completely for the moment anyway.

Any help anybody could give to rectify the above would be very much appreciated.

Best wishes,

Adie

On the right side of your client gallery page, price list drop down menu select "not for sale".

the second question customers are not required to give email address unless you make them do it. the settings you are asking about are in the category settings. main menu>> site content>> list all content>> (pick category here) there are a number of defaults you can set up in categories. most of the time i send the customers an access code to the gallery, I leave it to them when to register.

there a some projects i do that have multiple customers in the same gallery. those i require them to login to see pictures. it's easier to track shopping carts and who has been in and who hasn't.

Hi Shawn, many thanks for your help on this I really appreciate it.

Unfortunately I am not able to see a price list drop down menu and click 'not for sale'.

Also I cannot find anything in the categories setup which allows me to turn off the requirement to supply an email address when a client logs in to view their gallery.

I am wondering if we are using the same version of Sytist (mine is version 3.5.3)?

I have tried to upload screenshots of what I am seeing but get a 'Only JPG,PNG & GIF files can be uploaded' error message. I have tried both JPG and PNGs without success.

Hi Tim,

Many thanks for your help on this and for the invaluable screenshots.

The email / password issue is sorted out now thank you.

Unfortunately the price list issue is ongoing though. What I am seeing on my screen is different from the screenshot you supplied at the top of your post.

Whereas your top line reads:
Site content > clients > just married couple

Mine contains another category i.e.
Site content > clients > Weddings > Vicki and James

Whereas the right hand side of your screenshot reads:
Status
Password protect
Price list
etc

Mine reads:
Status
Password protect
Date
Expires

I would love to send you a screenshot but cannot get the upload photo feature on this forum to work for pngs or jpegs.

In my last screenshot above, see where it says Content Function, client galleries / selling photos, what does yours say in the section for your galleries? I should be on that one.

You may have changed it if you have a price list attached to the gallery.

Change that option to "Client galleries / selling photos", save, then you will have the price list option for your galleries.
