Defer Offscreen Images

Google pagespeed insights reports that I could save upto 4.35s by defering offscreen images and to consider lazy-loading offscreen and hidden images after all critical resources have finished loading to lower time to interactive.
Is this something that can be done easily
There is also a large list of scripts with regards to render blocking which suggests that resources are blocking the first paint of the page. Consider delivering critical JS/CSS inline and deferring all non-critical JS/styles. This could potentially save an additional 3.48s on load time.
Regards
Dave

How fast does your page load?
I have page speed on my site (a Sytist one) down to 1.5 seconds using this url for testing: gtmetrix (dot)com.
Quick page load time is critical for SEO and Google Ranking. I understand under 2 seconds is best.
I love Tim's software. You can't beat the quality for awesomeness, however there are several areas of the coding that Google does report which can impact page speed times. Not sure there is any way to change it due to the complexity of the software. I've read were some people use Wordpress for the home page for the responsiveness for limited no errors with regard to page load speed. Then will link to Sytist.
All said, Tim advised a couple times I asked that it really doesn't make much of a difference what Google page speed insights indicates. I've researched this issue a great amount and tend to agree with Tim. I haven't found any website I tested with page speed insights that gave favorable results per their requirements. I doubt their requirements are ever met, anywhere.
As long as I can load a page under 2 seconds, which mine does, I am not concerned with the pages speed insights reports.

Only way to move up google listing is to pay google.
i remember trying to raise my google SEO score, not sure exact name. On scale of 1-10 no photographer was higher than 2 like me. i ran test on a ton of websites. Ran a couple SEO sellers they were scored 3 didn't think they could help me much. All this stuff is meaningless.

Hiya,
On desktop the page loads at around 1.3s but on mobile it lags at with a laod time of 4.5s
The main issues with mobile are image sizes and the render blocking scripts.
Possibly because the header billboard images are sized to fill a desktop screen and are having to be downsized for mobile.
Would be great if mobile browsers called for a smaller sized version.
As for render blocking I have no idea, I did try a defer tag in scripts but some stopped the page working all together so I quickly halted that before causing too much bother.

I use the following imagecompressor(DOT)com to compress my jpeg files for the website, which speeds up load time.
