Using Godaddy and have tried most everything I can find to try. I get this error:

PHP Deprecated: Comments starting with '#' are deprecated in /web/conf/php5.ini on line 1256 in Unknown on line 0
PHP Deprecated: Comments starting with '#' are deprecated in /web/conf/php5.ini on line 1257 in Unknown on line 0

Deprecated: Directive 'magic_quotes_gpc' is deprecated in PHP 5.3 and greater in Unknown on line 0
Could not open input file: /home/02/11877802/sy-admin/sy-cron.php

Any ideas?

It looks like this error:

PHP Deprecated: Comments starting with '#' are deprecated in /web/conf/php5.ini on line 1256 in Unknown on line 0

Is referring to the main php.ini file on your hosting account.

And this error

Deprecated: Directive 'magic_quotes_gpc' is deprecated in PHP 5.3 and greater in Unknown on line 0

magic_quotes_gpc is not even used in Sytist.

Try this way below. If that doesn't work, you might have to ask godaddy the right way to set up a cron job there.

wget -q --spider http://www.yourwebsite.com/sy-admin/sy-cron.php

Replace yourwebsite.com/sy-admin with the URL to YOUR Sytist admin.

Well it changed to this error now:

wget: unrecognized option `--spider http://www.ptps.com/sy-admin/sy-cron.php '
Usage: wget [OPTION]... [URL]...

Try `wget --help' for more options.

Maybe this will help:
https://www.godaddy.com/help/create-cron-jobs-16086

/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/[user name]/[path to the file]

/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/02/11877802/sy-admin/sy-cron.php

I read that on godaddy and I tried what you suggested. I spent a couple of hours researching here and godaddy help before I posted for help. I'm probably going to hear that I must upgrade my godaddy account( they collect more money) so I can get the new version php. If I do, Saratoga and AWS here I come!
Looks like a call to godaddy is in order.
Thanks.

BTW- here is the error with that script. Same as before

OK now things are weird. I did nothing else to my site since I left it this morning. Every hour I am getting the failed Cron warnings, but at 12:45pm the 3 test emails went out and I received them. Still getting Cron failure warnings 4 hours later. I am so confused. LOL

Sounds like godaddy for you. The problem would be with the cron job itself.
