Unable To Upload Photos On New Install.

I've been through the FAQ and as many posts as I can find and can't find any answers.
When I click the upload button, I get a moving color bar at the top of the window and that's it. The window then locks up. The only way to free it up is to reload the browser window. I've check permissions and php limits in both the sytist install and at the root level. This happens across all browsers.

Update:

I can get the flash uploader to work just fine. But since Adobe is officially dropping support for flash next year, I'd sure like it if the regular uploader would work.

Sounds like a javascript error possibly caused by a missing file or files. Try re-uploading the contents of the sy-admin folder into your admin folder on the website from the installation files and see if that fixes it.

Reloaded the sy-admin folder and that didn't work. However, it did remind me of something that I wonder if it is affecting that process. When I originall went through the install process, the system asked if I wanted to rename sy-admin to something else (which I did). The installer did not automatically rename the sy-admin folder and when I renamed it manually to the chosen and entered name, everything broke. I manually renamed the folder back to "sy-admin" and it seemed to work. Could that have caused issues?

OK, so thinking that I might have screwed something up in the install, I wiped everything and started over. (not renaming the sy-admin folder). Now I'm stuck at the registration process. I've sent a message with the requisite details to ask for you to reset that registration.

Yep, that must have been it.

I thought I followed the directions on properly renaming the directory, but I obviously missed something somewhere and then when naming it back to sy-admin, I obviously broke something.

It's all working now.
