Password Files Issue

I am using the FTP watch folder option which is working great. The issue is that the sub-galleries do not always seem to process the password.txt file included with the uploaded folders. The photos are accessible in the admin search, but not for the customer because the password is not being set. For these I must set the password manually. Strangely, it's not all the time. Mostly it works fine. Looking for some insight on how to troubleshoot this. How can I verify that the password .txt file has been uploaded, and if it has, why isn't the password being set consistently? I can verify it is present in the folder dropped into the watch folder, but from there Sytist takes over so I'm looking for direction to troubleshoot. Thanks in advance.

Since you are using the watch folder option, what is happening is that the sub gallery is being created before everything has uploaded. When the sub gallery is first created, it looks for the password file and if it exists, then it adds the password to the sub gallery. But if everything hasn't uploaded, then the password file doesn't exist when the sub gallery is first created. It would be better to just use the regular FTP process if you are password protecting the sub galleries.

Or make sure the password file it uploaded first.

Thanks, Tim. Actually though, it happens using regular FTP as well. It seems to be related to sub-gallery size, so your explanation makes sense. If it's around 6MB or less it works pretty consistently. Over that, and it's hit and miss. I use this for commercial souvenir photo ops, so I have built tools to automate everything on my end. My tool monitors a local watch folder. When my photo system creates a customer session (sub-gallery) it auto-generates the password file, then syncs the local folder (after a short delay) to the remote FTP folder and is processed by Sytist. I have the Sytist watch folder page opened at all times on my AWS server, so it's fully automated. It works pretty well except for the noted issue. I suppose I need to figure out how to ensure the password file is uploaded first. Maybe a timed delay between .txt and .jpg files.
