Add People To Gallery List

I know I can "add people" to a gallery one by one if they are registered on my site. I know I can set it up for them to add themselves to a gallery during the preregister process. My question, is there a way to bulk add email addresses to a gallery which then I can send out reminders and other notification when I change something in that gallery? I'm pretty sure the answer is no but wanted to confirm.

Let me add a little backstory just in case some one has a great idea I'm not thinking about.

I running all my business through my site using Sytist. All the sales is POST photo day. I get my pictures together and then post them to my site. I then had the organizations send out emails to parents saying pictures are ready to order. I have very satisfactory success doing it this way. Recent events has pushed me into sending out emails myself. I get the list from the boosters and then using gmail I generate an email and paste in the links for the gallery and then send it out. But I figured if I had the list and just added the list to the "people" tab of my gallery I could do the same thing from there. Based on my study of the manual I'm thinking that isn't possible (thus my question above) and perhaps not advisable. I'm looking to move over to something like mailChimp because of the ability to create lists and then use them to send out the email and a couple of reminders during the ordering period. I zero experience with mailChimp but I learn quick. However I'm willing to listen to any of you that might have a better idea...

Thanks

Not a way to "add" them to the gallery, but when in the People tab for the gallery where you send out the gallery email, there is the option for "Enter additional email addresses". There you can paste in the email addresses separated by a comma. This won't save those emails anywhere where you can resend them though.

That is helpful Tim! I have not noticed that in the past.

Hi Scott and Tim

I searched the forum for exactly this request too. I have been using mailchimp for the last 3 years for the same reason - itemizing client lists by school/club etc.

I was looking to see if I could revert back to sytist yet as I like the feature of being able to email only customers that have not purchased. (as opposed to 'have not opened, or 'have not clicked' using mailchimp.

To have a .csv import feature to add people to the pre registery would be super helpful.

What would be even better would be to include/tag the student name and their ID code to the pre registery, (and have these extra fields added to the pre register form)

Tim - Is this something that is in the pipeline?

Scott - I would love to know if you have come up with any better solutions?

Thank you!

I am planning on making label or categories for customers at some point but no idea when.
