Making Sub Galleries Not Visible Before Uploading

When I load 300or 400 or 500 or more password protected sub galleries for a school that can take a while.
If I get started on another project while waiting I may forget to go back and click the do not display sub galleries box for a while.
I then get phone calls about all the images showing and complaints.
Is there a way now or could it be in the next upgrade that I could check the do not display subgalleries button before I start??

You could just set the page status to Draft (in the Text & Settings tab of the gallery) so it's not listed on the website. Then when you are ready change it to publish.

Okay I can try this, maybe.
I publish the empty sites in advance with a message saying when the photos are expected to be up online.
We frequently get phone calls from parents about the photos and the photographers have not finished the drive back to the shop from the school and we have yet to extract the green backgrounds.

So the question is can I publish the site and then later take it back to draft for an hour or 2 for the uploading? and then publish it again?

I just set to pre-register and the email those that have registered when I set to publish, that way clients get to see the gallery will become available and know they are on the correct website.
