Tax Exempt Customers

Because we shoot horse shows we deal with customers who are tax exempt. Right now I have to duplicate every single product and the add it to a new prices list and mark the products as non taxable to handle tax exemption. This causes an issue in trying to keep pricing in sync.

It would be nice to have a checkbox on the admin side of the person record that we can click and make that customer tax exempt.

Yes, but there is just not an option for that and not a lot of requests for it. You could instruct them to select a state at checkout that you don't charge tax.

I also have tax-exempt customers too. Is this something that may be in a future version?

View the customer's account in the People section. In the ACTIONS tab, EDIT then check Tax Exempt toward the bottom.
