Good afternoon,
I've realized that even if I put the password on my client galleries, even if I don't allow the download, the client or whoever has the password is still able to drag the picture on the desktop which means... that he/she won't purchase it because he/she download it for free. I can upload the file in low resolution which means he/she will be able to drag a small file but if I upload a large file... well a smart client can drag the picture without to pay it.What can I do?

Use a watermark.

When you apply a watermark it will stay on the image they drag to their desktop. It only is removed with a purchase - in fact, our watermark says that right on the photo: "This text will be removed upon purchase". That has the side benefit of making it obvious to anyone who sees the photo that they didn't pay for it.

No matter what you do with website features, any photo that is displayed on screen can be captured by someone with enough knowledge.

watermark is on every picture because as a photographer I know how important is to have it but if somebody can drag the picture for free they can ALWAYS use in on facebook or anywhere else even if the watermark is on. I just don't want that people can dra the pictures

Simone

There is absolutely nothing you can do about people taking your pictures of a website. You don’t even need to do any sort of “save as”, “click and drag”, or “press and hold”. Most devices have some sort of snipping tool. I use a snip tool almost every day for my day job to quickly get snap shots of my work (not photography) to my customers super fast. No they are not high resolution and no they might not print nice but as you say, people to take it and put it on facebook or other social media and be just happy with it. Watermark might be the best choice or you could change your business model to taking payment prior to posting pictures. I feel your pain. I post hundreds of pictures a week and the kids just snip it and post it even with my ugly watermark on it.

yea, there is no way to completely stop people from getting photos. Screenshots on every device is easy.

But if you want to disable dragging, go to Design -> Edit My Theme. Click Additional CSS in the left menu and add this code:

img {
user-drag: none;
user-select: none;
-moz-user-select: none;
-webkit-user-drag: none;
-webkit-user-select: none;
-ms-user-select: none;
}

But if you are using the wall designer don't use that.

Go to Design -> Header & Footer.

Click the < HEAD > Script tab and add this code:

$(document).ready(function(){
$("body").attr("ondragstart","return false");
});

But adding this code you won't be able to use the Wall designer or the Page Designer
