Pre-sell Pages

Hi Tim!

I am doing a lot of pre-selling. I have tried doing it two ways. Both work well and are missing a little something. Am I missing something here?
1. The "Buy" or "Store Items" pages look great. They are easy for customers to understand.
Layout nicely on mobile and highlight the products I am selling. But using this solutions I am not able to
A. Ask questions at checkout
B. Force a customer to buy a package before buying add ons

2. GALLERY - I have been using a gallery with a single image in it (something like the team logo with some text) The functionality of this works great! The problem is, the products I want people to buy are crammed into a very small space on the right side of the screen and I find they do not sell anywhere near as well when I setup a presell this way. The functionality of this works perfectly though.

For me the second way is fantastic. Why?
A. It allows me to setup or duplicate a gallery for each client and use the price list I already have. It is quick and easy for me to setup a new client. If I use the first option, I am setting up a new set of products for each new customer.
B. It allows me to use one price list whether the customer is purchasing actual pictures or pre-buying. This helps me avoid errors, but also lets me change from one the other if needed.
C. It allows me to do things the same way for all my volume customers but also customize the splash page etc. This, allows me to delegate this to staff and train people which is very valuable to me.

I LOVE pre-selling with a gallery. It just works. This way was recommended to me by several users and I'm very grateful. HOWEVER I really want to display the products I am selling like "thumbnails with prices" separated by category (in this case product group) or the buy page. Is there anyway to do this? Could you have an option in a photo gallery to "only show price list" or something of that nature? I always load an image, but just sell that one image over and over to customers. That works out fine for the cart side.

Is there another way to do what I am trying to do? I think a lot of people would use this. There are several groups of us that have explored the options together. Some chose to ask on every item the kids name etc.. and trust customers to buy a package before ala carte, and some have chosen the less than ideal layout of the gallery.

I use the gallery option for pre sell now too. I'm not sure I completely understand your question so apologies if my suggestion is of no help.... Can you use the product group as your category with the preview image for your thumbnail and then the 'select download options' to keep it tidy? That is what I have been doing - see here inphotography.nz/store/club. I am also following as I am constantly learning new and better ways to use the platform too. I would be interested to see how you can include both pre sell items as well as actual pictures in one category/gallery!

I understand where you are coming from having the photo products display like the store products. But there just isn't a way to do it. I have a couple of ideas I will make a note of to look into that might work.

I too enjoy the pre-sell feature and I happen to use a STORE page because I like to have decent size sample images for the customer to view as they look at each product. I believe I know the answer to the question but I just want to be sure before I create alot of work for myself unnecessarily. Is there any way to DUPLICATE a STORE page ? Or do I have to create a store page for each client?

Thanks so much !

Thank you sooooooooo much! I am looking forward to implementing this ASAP. I have been using my site more and more for pre-orders and I think this will make a HUGE difference in sales! Thank you for being so responsive. It is one of the reasons I LOVE using this software for my business!

I know this is a completely nitpicky request, but the grammar nazi in me is always pained by it so I'm going to mention it. When a package only has one one is it written as "1 poses" Any chance we could get that to say "1 pose". I know why it's like that, but my customers just think I have bad grammar :D No big deal, just thought if it was easy, we'd all look smarter.

Pam, you can upload photos for the products in the product base you add to the pre-orders. I have added an example to the demo.

https://www.sytist.net/clients/pre-order-example/

Looks at the last product Other Merchandise. And if there is more than one photo you can click more photos then click those thumbnails to view larger.

The option to upload photos to products in the product base is the photo icon next to the edit, delete, etc.. icons. For collections, edit the collection and scroll down for the option to upload photos.

You can duplicate a store page (in the actions menu when viewing a list of pages), but not an option to duplicate and entire category.

Melissa, if the poses if for the pre-order products AND they are not going to come back and select photos for them, you can just set the poses to 0 in the collections and it won't show that.

But you can go to Design -> Page Text, search the page (CTRL+F) for _poses_ and change it to pose(s).
